Tom played his youth football at Gala Fairydean, latterly working under goalkeeper coach Ally McCulloch and picking up the u17 player of the year award along the way. From there, he moved to Stow AFC where he was a permanent fixture for 7 years , racking up one of the clubs’ most appearances and winning the coveted players’ player of the year award. Developing under specialist coach John Dodds, Tom picked up back-to-back Waddell Cup winners medals with Stow but felt the time had come to step up a level. Following trials at Gala Fairydean Rovers, Selkirk and Coldstream, he opted for Peebles Rovers after a successful pre-season spell where he works now with goalkeeping coach Bob Hall.
