Fresh off the back of a well deserved point against Heriot-Watt last Saturday, Ben Brown insists that the Rovers have no fear going into a tricky game against high-flying Eyemouth at Warner Park tommorow.
The young defender scooped the Man of the Match award following an impressive display against the Watt, and he believes that Peebles are wholly capable of walking away from the seaside with all three points.
Speaking exclusively to www.peeblesrovers.com, he said: “Heriot-Watt was frustrating, I felt we had the better of them for most of the game. They didn’t create much in terms of chances, and we were playing some great football; probably the best all season and we really should have won it.”
“I think we’re capable of winning at Eyemouth, it’s always tough down there with the weather and they’ve been getting some good results recently. It’s going to be a hard test but we’ve got a strong team and we know we can win it.”
Having swapped amateur football for the competitive surroundings at Whitestone Park in the summer, Brown knows the quality of the new league he’s competing in, but, the young gun insists that he’s loving life at Peebles Rovers;
“It’s been great so far, quite a step up from what I was doing last year with Peebles Ams; we didn’t really train and just turned up for a game. Here, the training’s brilliant and we’ve got some great coaches helping us out. We’ve got everything we need.”
