GER ROSSI was delighted with his team’s efforts against Coldstream yesterday, as the team secured their fourth win of the season.
Rovers have kicked-off the new campaign in blistering form, with Saturday’s efforts in Berwickshire seeing Rossi’s team in hot pursuit of the top six.
Whilst he admits there are still problems to iron out, the gaffer couldn’t hide his delight at the three points.
Speaking to peeblesrovers.com after the match, he said: “Sometimes, I think we shoot ourselves in the foot a wee bit. Our first goal was great – it’s probably one of the fastest I think I’ve ever been involved in!
After that, I couldn’t really place my finger on what went wrong when we conceded those goals.
“I thought we showed a lot of character, and now we’re going back up the road with the rewards from our graft.
“We defintiley dropped in an out of the game – maybe taking our foot off the gas at certain points, but you need to have a lot of desire and personality to hold out for the win like we did.
“They’re an honest bunch of boys, and they’ve gotten a good three points at what’s a very tough place to come. There’s plenty to work on, but hopefully we can push on from here.”
