Ross is a Rover

Peebles Rovers Football Club are delighted to confirm the capture of Ross Lamb from Vale of Leithen on a permanent basis.

The local lad spent the second-half of last season on loan at Whitestone Park from the Innerleithen outfit, where he shined in central-midfield alongside his brother, Gregor, as he helped guide Ger Rossi’s team to a respectable eight-placed finish in the East of Scotland League.

And now the manager has moved to snap up the former Vale and Gala Fairydean man as his first summer signing. Speaking to, Rossi expressed his delight at the move and spoke of his excitement at working with Lamb for the coming season;

“I’m absolutely thrilled to get Ross signed up; he’s definitely a player that shows what we as a club are trying to do. He adds a lot of quality for us in the middle of the park and, now, this is hopefully a platform for Ross to kick-on and showcase his talents.

“It’ll be very exciting to see another local lad run out in the red and white jersey of the Rovers- another terrific player.”
