Ben Brown has said that himself and the rest of the squad are raring to go against Ormiston on Saturday, and look to end the season with as many wins as possible. He spoke to Neil Hobson
The no-nonsense defender has revealed the team’s frustrations at the lack of game-time recently, with the Whitestone men’s last outing coming in mid-February, but insists that the boys are more than ready for Saturday’s clash against Ritchie Weir’s outfit;
“It’s definitely been a nightmare, especially since we enjoyed such a great run of form before the break.
“It’s tough just training and not getting a game. Personally, I think it’s knocked us out of our stride a wee bit- but there’s not much you can do about it, so, hopefully, we’ll have this this one on at least!”
Rossi’s Rovers will make the trip to East Lothian in a match that could see serious strides made in the race to make the top six, and Brown is well-aware of the challenges waiting at Recreation Park, he continued;
“Without a doubt, Ormiston’s going to be a challenging game. It’ll be tough given we’re away from home and there’s the fact they’re quite a physical side, but, if we go there with our heads on from the start- we can get the right result.
“We just want to get as many wins and points on the board as possible from now until the end of the season, I think it’s something we’re more than capable of doing.”
